Two-factor authentication (2FA)

How to enable TOTP-based 2FA on your IT Trackr account.

IT Trackr supports TOTP-based two-factor authentication (compatible with Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and any standard authenticator app). We strongly recommend enabling it on all accounts.

Enabling 2FA

  • Go to Dashboard → Account
  • Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication
  • Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code
  • Enter the 6-digit code to confirm setup

Signing in with 2FA

After entering your email and password, you'll be prompted for your authenticator code. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to complete sign-in.

2FA and API keys

2FA must be enabled before you can create API keys. This is a security requirement — API keys provide programmatic access to your data and should only be created from a verified account.

If you lose access to your authenticator app, contact support@ittrackr.com. An admin can clear your MFA factors so you can re-enroll.
