Uploading documents to assets

How to attach receipts, warranties, and other documents to an asset.

You can attach documents directly to any asset — purchase receipts, warranty certificates, invoices, or any other relevant file. This keeps everything in one place rather than scattered across email or shared drives.

Supported file types and limits

  • PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), plain text (.txt)
  • Maximum 10MB per file
  • Storage quota: 1GB on Free, 10GB on Pro

How to upload

Click any asset to open the detail panel, then go to the Documents tab. Drag and drop a file onto the upload area, or click to browse. The file is uploaded immediately and linked to the asset.

Uploads are blocked if you've reached your storage quota. You'll see a message showing how much space is remaining. Check Settings → Storage to see your current usage.

Viewing and downloading

All uploaded documents appear in the Documents tab. Click any file to download it. Every upload is recorded in the audit log with the uploader's name and timestamp.
